About
The KU Community Outreach Center in collaboration with AMeN, Inc. and the City of Allentown are sponsoring a Day of Service for the Juneteenth Celebration being held in Allentown on Saturday, June 19 2021. We are looking for students, staff, faculty, and alumni to volunteer during various parts of the day to make the event a success. *Rain date is Sunday, June 20, 2021
- Up to 3 volunteers needed for the Football Tournament being held from 7:30Am to 12PM located at the Union Terrace Fields (200 S. Street Elmo Street in Allentown)
- Up to 3 volunteers needed for the Mid-Day Shift being held from 12PM to 4:30PM also at Union Terrace Fields for the Football Tournament (200 S. Street Elmo Street in Allentown)
- 2-3 hour shifts from 5PM to 10PM at 7th & Hamilton (PPL Center) for the City of Allentown Juneteenth Celebration Downtown. Volunteers will assist with set-up, helping vendors, and tear down (most volunteers are needed at these times)
Volunteers will assist with cleaning, set-up, tear-down and will be provided t-shirts. They are also encouraged to join the celebration in recognition of Juneteenth. Proceeds collected from the Juneteenth Celebration benefit Kutztown University students in the A.I.M.S. Program.
