Educational Psychology in Kindergarten - PSYC 242

Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 from 11:00am to 1:15pm

About

Work in small groups to prepare a mini-lesson (15-minutes) to do with the Cheston students during a field trip they take to campus. The topic is deliberately flexible for your group to choose, but should be something loosely related to reading, writing, narrative comprehension, literature, etc. Our partner teacher Ms. Falcone is especially interested in lessons that also highlight for the children how to work through hard things, cooperate with peers, develop resilience, and cope with challenges. This emphasis on the importance of perseverance helps them tie in our lessons to their Leader in Me curriculum. Your lesson should be developmentally appropriate to kindergarteners.
